The operating pressure for most appliances is far smaller than the pressure of LPG inside gas bottles. The regulator reduces this pressure down to the safe requirements to power the appliance. Many appliances in the UK come fitted with the appropriate regulator. If it doesn’t, simply refer to the manufacturers instruction manual to ensure you know what type of regulator the appliance requires.
